Channing is my first little girl after having 3 boys.  This is the first event I have gone with that was just her and I.  I can truethfully say, it was one of the most enjoyable evenings of my life.  We danced, ate and generally had an incredible time. 

Last Summer at an undisclosed location near my house, I took this photo of a woodpecker.  See if you can find it flying away on the left side of the photo.  You can see its red neck and head.  I got a much better view of it without my camera on the dead tree in the picture.  It is truely an amazing bird. 

I originally thought the bill was light possible the "holy grail" of birds the ivory billed woodpecker.  I am still hoping to get a better shot.  But for now, I think it was a pileated. 

Today is Deia and I's anniversary.  I hope she really likes the flowers I got her.  The roses are Orange and Pink.  The same colors at our wedding.
