Saturday night, Edmond Santa Fe High School had "Meet the Wolves Night".  Guthrie is getting big.  He is a sophomore this year.  Check back to see how their year goes.  I need to get with him on getting his hands in catching position sooner.

Today we spent about three hours at the pool.  It was over 100degrees for like the 25th time this year.  Deia is wearing a bathing suit she had since high school.  That was 16 years ago for those of you who are wondering.  She just still looks hot!

 

Well, Summer is almost over.  Guthrie and Collin got to spend a couple of days in Tulsa with their unlce Dave.  I think they really had fun skiing.  I wish I could have gone. 

Friday we had a contractor coming to pour a drainage ditch in front of our retainer wall to keep floods from washing out out pool. Guthrie and I were adding another row of cross ties when the flood hit. We were too late.

I always considered soccer a game for those who don't have enough talent to play anything else.  It is perfect for 4 and 5 year olds because they can't really play anything else.  It is also the sport that kids who aren't tough enough to play football play.  I guess the fact that you can feild a team from any third world country is an advantage.  Maybe we should just drop soccer balls everywhere instead of bombs and maybe there would be enough soccer moms with mini-vans world wide to keep their kids from becoming terrorists.  I would guess the terrorists are kids who weren't any good at soccer.  It is probably that simple.
