Summary of 2008
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to heaven, we were all going direct the other way - in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.
Charles Dickens A tale of two Cities.
This is the only way I can cap describe 2008
Homecoming in Stillwater
This has been an exciting year for Oklahoma State Football. We are now 7 and 0 after our win on Saturday. The last time we were 7-0 was 1945 and we won the national championship. Carson and I had a great time in Stillwater.

Santa Fe Wolves Football Howl At The Moon
Last night the Wolves started out the first practice with pads after midnight. They called it Howl at the Moon. My son Guthrie is a Senior Defensive Back on the team and really hit hard last night. One of the pictures below is him breaking up a pass.

Playing with the Little Kids
This picture was taken 2.5 years ago. Deia misses playing with the "babies". I told her that I would play the same way even thought they are bigger instead of having more babies:) I'll upload a new photo doing the same thing in a couple of days.
The Sun is Trapped under the Storm
Oklahoma has some of the prettiest sunsets you will see anywhere. Last night, a storm was rolling in and teh sun looked like it was trapped under the storm. I wish I would have had our good camera with me so you could see the spectacular scene better.
Good Old Days Saturday Night
Now days the world of TV is just too much sex, violence and generaly too stressful. Tonight Channing my three year old and I are watching the Lawrence Welk Show. Talk about good memories. My sister Gayla loved to watch Lawrence Welk. I remember it came on the same time as Star Trek so we always got in a fight. My Mom and Dad preferred LW so I usually lost. Anyway you can't go back but sometimes it would be nice. We all need to spend more time enjoying good wholesome music and entertainment relaxing with our families.
